THE BURGLOFT
In 2020, the world stopped spinning, or so we like to say when the global pandemic began. It left us, as many, with existential questions, but then we began to dream again and as we moved forward, another house came into the picture just down the street. Throughout the 2 years of lockdown in Germany, we renovated, dreamed and renovated some more. The end product is our BurgLoft, and we hope you can come enjoy a part of our newest dream soon.
The Burgloft dates back to the 1500s where it was once the old Spengler house in Oberaudorf. It is now a renovated guesthouse that sleeps 9-10 guests in 3 cozy bedrooms. The gallery and living room are the heart and soul of the house. Here, one can’t help but feel warm and gemütlich next to the wood burning oven. The open floor plan leads right into the kitchen which also connects to the dining room with a large hardwood dining room table. The Burgloft has two modern bathrooms, one upstairs, and one downstairs with walk in showers and a large terrace that has unparalleled views to the Chiemgau Alps and the old Auerburg Ruins. The three bedrooms are unique unto themselves with handmade beds and furniture. There are 2 - 3 parking spots available (depending on car size) and if not, additional parking is 250 meters away. Turn it into A villa
The BurgLoft can also be rented with a downstairs apartment, what we call the BURGVILLA! This addition increases the capacity to 13/15 guests and adds an extra kitchen, bathroom with walk in shower, bedroom and living room. We think it is a great way to spend a family vacation with a few families or few generations and allow those that need their peace and quiet every once and awhile on those wild vacations just that.
