'Di-rndl' is the Bavarian word for girl. It is also the name of the traditional dress worn in southern Germany, and together with the lederhosen, belongs to a type of traditional clothing called Tracht. Dirndl shopping can be daunting. With all the traditions around Tracht there are certain rules that should be adhered to as well as how to find the right dirndl with the right Fit. Donβt worry, you are in good hands! Spend a fun day with Anna going dirndl shopping. She will guide you through the traditions and proper fitting of a dirndl and teach you how to wear it properly before you head out to the Biergarten or Wiesβn in Tracht.
The day will start with a pick up at the Oberaudorf Trainstation, where with a bottle of Sekt or two you will head over the mountain pass to Aschau in Chiemgau. Here you will start the Dirndl process. Deep breath, take a sip of sekt and let the fun begin. Once you have picked out our dirndl, we will stay in Tracht and drive back over the pass for a traditional biergarten or wirthaus lunch in tracht. Along the way we will stop for photos in front of the Zahmer Kaiser.
